For the 11 plus it is very important that your child has a thorough understanding of the basics of maths. It is very easy to have missed an important lesson at school for whatever reason or simply just never understood it well enough to continue.
You need to check that they understand all the topics covered in Key Stage 2

These books are written for student teachers to attain the required level of understanding to teach maths at Primary School level (KS2) in the UK.
These books should be helpful if you are unfamiliar with the latest methods or maybe it has just been a long while since you studied Maths!

Be aware that your child may not yet have covered some of the topics at the level required for the 11 Plus. Talk to your child's teacher to find out what they have covered. They should have a planned scheme of work that they may be willing to share with you so that you can co-ordinate your efforts.
I know - that's an awful lot of topics to cover - hopefully they will be familiar with most of it already - but you need to make sure.
